Arsenal are set for one of their biggest transfer windows in the club’s history this summer. After signing Raheem Sterling as their only attacking reinforcement last summer and making no moves in January, Mikel Arteta will be given a huge budget to spend ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Arsenal manager is desperate for a new striker. The club’s top two targets are Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko. I’m almost certain one of them will be moving to North London this summer. The club also want to sign a winger, as well as completing a deal for Martin Zubimendi.
Mikel Arteta wants a back-up option to Bukayo Saka on the right wing, with Nico Williams currently the Gunners number one target in that position. While Real Sociedad midfielder, Zubimendi is expected to replace Thomas Partey who has not been offered a new contract.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have already opened talks the camp of Nico Williams. However the Gunners aren’t alone in the race for one of the best young wingers in Europe right now.

The Athletic Bilbao winger has a release clause somewhere between £48million and £67million, which is why Mikel Arteta is so keen on brining the player to North London this summer.
Arsenal are aiming to spend upwards of £100million on a new striker, so securing a deal for Williams for around £50million will be a great piece of business.

The Spanish winger is also being heavily tracked by Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool. However Arsenal are looking to persuade the 22-year-old to join Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, having already begun talks with his camp.
Nico Williams would provide much needed cover for Bukayo Saka next season. The Arsenal winger has been unavailable since Christmas after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Crystal Palace.
However the 23-year-old is set to return to the Arsenal team after the international break. Arsenal are aiming to make sure they don’t make the same mistakes next season and Bukayo Saka can enjoy an injury-free campaign.
Despite a difficult season in Spain, registering just four goals and give assists in the league, there is no doubt Nico Williams still has a huge amount of potential. Mikel Arteta strongly believes he is the man to get the best out of the Spanish international.
