Arsenal are expected to have one of their biggest transfer windows in the club’s history this summer. Early reports suggest the Gunners are in for a winger who Pep Guardiola once labelled the best in the world in his position.
It’s no secret Mikel Arteta is desperate to add to his forward line ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The Gunners have scored only three goals over their last four Premier League games, with none of them coming from attackers.
Arsenal have gone through a serious injury crisis in their forward line over the past few months. Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have all been on the sidelines through injury, which has left the Gunners considerably short in attack.

The club are determined to make sure they don’t make the same mistakes next season, with a new centre forward and winger both being targeted.
Benjamin Sesko is Arsenal’s number one striker target. The club have already put in a lot of work ahead of completing that deal this summer. However a move for a winger is still being heavily weighed up.
Nico Williams and Antoine Semenyo are two players the Gunners are currently looking at. Also on the list is Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.

Mikel Arteta knows the player well from his time at Manchester City and remains a huge fan of the German international. The 29-year-old’s contract is up at the end of the 2024/25 campaign with Arsenal seriously considering a move according to reports.
Arsenal have a concrete interest in Leroy Sane. They are looking for reinforcements on the wings and are interested in the player on a free transfer this summer, as per Tobi Altschaffl.
Pep Guardiola described Leroy Sane as the best winger in the world in 2019: “Playing in the middle he can do it, but I think he’s better out wide. I’m not saying he can’t play in middle but at the moment we have better players to do that job.
“But Leroy is best playing in the world out wide. I’d prefer to use him where he is strongest, he’s an incredible player.”
